This private Woollahra mansion has been sold by Ben Collier of The Agency for above $9m. The buyer is believed to be Naomi Triguboff Travers, niece of real estate developer Harry Triguboff.
Ben Collier told WILLIAMS MEDIA the property’s initial campaign was disrupted by COVID-19 restrictions. “When the restrictions around onsite auctions and open for inspections were relaxed, we commenced a new campaign which culminated with the auction on Saturday.”
The home attracted a wide range of buyers, ranging from local families to downsizers, with 110 in-person inspections conducted prior to the sale. The actual sale price is undisclosed.
“There was a strong level of interest due to the land size, northern aspect and the blue ribbon location. The house was in a condition that you could live comfortably in, but most people had plans to carry out some cosmetic renovations,” Ben told WILLIAMS MEDIA.
The home has courted controversy in the past, with reported outrage among students and staff in 1990 when Sydney University spent $2.6m to purchase the property as the official residence of its vice-chancellor.
