'Sky High' is a 50-acre (20-hectare) property featuring an assertive piece of architecture built at the crest of a ridge. The home sits at the base of Mt Franklin, and features dramatic views of the surrounding hills, farmland, and bushland.
Award winning designers Josh and Tik White told WILLIAMS MEDIA, "The design is driven by the drama of an extraordinary site. Robust materials and strong forms respond to the stark beauty of Mt Franklin and the expansive surrounding landscape."
This home intimately engages with its context and climate, with walls in the living area and master bedroom built out of stone from the local district.

The position of the living dining area with the centerpiece kitchen and stone fireplace, captures to full advantage the inspiring sunrises and equally breathtaking sunsets that create a dynamic play of light and colour over the landscape. The sculpted, hand forged finishes are all at work here: polished concrete hyper floor, concrete kitchen benchtops, curved glass skylight and designer sink and tapware.
The palette of mosaic finishes on the saltwater pool and the spotted gum verandah are pleasingly unobtrusive, but are a contrast to the Alpine feel of Mt Franklin behind and the rural idyll below.
Abundant, pristine spring water pumped from a 200m bore is used for domestic and garden purposes with additional 22,500 litre rainwater storage.
