Continuing its push into the residential real estate space in Australia, global firm Knight Frank has appointed a luxury property expert with a network of ultra high net worth individuals to lead their NSW Residential Project Marketing. Tapping Madelaine Lundgren for the role is a sign that the firm is serious about wanting to attract more of its international clients into the Australian marketplace, especially Sydney.
Lundgren worked with Mirvac, CBRE and Lend Lease in Australia before moving to London where she held senior roles with DTZ and Chinese developer Dalian Wanda on their first international project, One Nine Elms London. Lundgren also oversaw the sales and marketing initiative of Chelsea Barracks and The Shell Centre redevelopment for Qatari Diar, The Investment Arm of the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Qatar.
“Sydney is truly becoming the city to watch. There is so much international interest in the market and the growing residential development pipeline will further showcase Sydney as a unique destination address on the world stage,” said Lundgren.
“Sydney currently has one of the hottest property markets in the world with low interest rates stimulating activity and Madelaine’s extensive international experience and network of ultra high net worth individuals will be invaluable to our clients in the marketplace," said Richard Horne, Knight Frank’s Managing Director NSW. “In Australia, we will look to leverage off Knight Frank’s dominant position in many global residential markets and see this as a huge growth opportunity for the NSW business."
