The new financial year has kicked off strongly for Professionals with the opening of five new offices across the country in July, taking the total to six for the quarter.
The new offices stretch from Yarram-Tarra and Lyndhurst in Victoria to Whitsunday and Townsville in North Queensland, and west to Rockingham and Nollamara in Western Australia.
Professionals Chief Executive Officer Katherine Gonzalez-Cork said Professionals was continuing to capture a larger share of the national market.
“I’m excited to welcome the new offices to the Professionals family,’’ Ms Gonzalez-Cork said.
“Professionals has a growth strategy focusing on attracting high-calibre agents who align with the brand and its values.’’
Long-time independent north Queensland agent Suzy Spilsbury rebranded her office to become Professionals Townsville and has taken over Professionals Whitsunday.
Suzy, whose career in the industry spans more than 30 years, was only 19 when she took over the real estate agency where she had first begun working as a receptionist only a year before.
“It’s been an exciting challenge for me and my small team to rebrand to the Professionals,’’ Suzy said. “There hasn’t been a Professionals office in Townsville for many years and it seemed the right time.
“Professionals are a progressive and modern company and I like that they are all about giving back to their agents.
“The market is strong in Townsville and particularly attractive to southern investors. Rental demand is high with a stable market from the Defence, mining and farming interests in the region.’’
On the other side of the country, the Wright family-run group in Western Australia have expanded their Professionals portfolio with the opening of their third office in Perth’s northern corridor.
Director and licensee Justin Wright said the new Professionals Nollamara is a welcome addition to the award-winning team’s offices in Kingsley and Balga.
“Aligning our business with the Professionals brand has given our clients added confidence in us, and this continues to grow as we expand our business in Perth,’’ Justin said.
“We have a team of 25 with a range of expertise, some have been in the industry for many years and others are newbies who bring a fresh approach.
“Now that we have opened our new office in Nollamara, our goal is to gain market share. This will take time, but we are hard at work with the support of the team at Professionals.’’
Ms Gonzalez-Cork said more agents were attracted to Professionals because of the group’s high level of support combined with “people before profits” approach to members.
“Our flat-fee system operates differently to a franchise and means our principals can put profits back into building up their own businesses.
“As Australia’s fastest growing real estate network, we provide members with a comprehensive suite of tools, game-changing marketing strategies and support services for their businesses.
“Our highly experienced board of directors, head office team and myself are dedicated to collaborating with our members to provide the level of support to ensure healthy growth across the group.
“With continued high interest across the country in what our group offers, we are actively preparing for more offices to rebrand under Professionals this financial year.’’
The Professionals was established more than 47 years ago in Queensland and has expanded across Australia, into New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea, and now boasts a network that comprises more than 225 offices.
