The Real Estate Institute of South Australia launches its Future Leaders Taskforce consisting of the next generation of eight of the brightest, and highly motivated real estate professionals in South Australia.
Its immediate focus will be to drive the recruitment pathway into the real estate industry and create positive promotion for university graduates, and school leavers who are interested in embarking on a real estate career.
“Real estate is at the heart of our state’s prosperity. Our Future Leaders are being tasked with the design of how our sector evolves,” said REISA CEO, Barry Money.
“The real estate is a powerhouse industry, significantly contributing to the state’s revenue through taxation, conveyancing duties and other levies. We are a major employer in the state, our Future Leaders recognise this and will be engaging the government and other influencers in 2022 and beyond,” he said.
All eight successful candidates showed exceptional drive towards creating the best practice in the industry, and all are keen to engage with major stakeholders.
The Future Leaders Taskforce has already engaged with Hon. David Pisoni, Minister for Innovation and Skills, as well as the Department for Innovation and Skills on key strategies to support the recruitment pathway into the industry.
“We want our future leaders to empower the younger generation to embrace change in the industry, to attract new talent to it and significantly improve the reputation of the profession by harnessing the incredible diversity and versatility of the up-and-coming generations,” said REISA Chair, Fairlie Delbridge.
The Empowering Future Leaders Symposium will be held on March 4, 2022 at The Gallery in Adelaide.
Young professionals, innovators and influencers are invited to participate.
