On Saturday, 13 November 2021 the Real Estate Institute of South Australia held its Gala Dinner celebrating the REISA Awards for Excellence. The night was attended by over 500 people from industry, State Government and the opposition and partners to the real estate profession.
The Hon. David Pisoni MP, Minister for Innovation & Skills joined with the Board of the Real Estate Institute of South Australia in celebrating a year of growth in the property sector.
The Hon. Stephen Mullighan, MP, Shadow Treasurer was also a guest of honour at the event.
“The Real Estate Industry, both public and private, provides close to $2BN in state revenue via Total Property Taxes and Levies and Total Stamp Duties on financial and capital transactions. REISA as the industry’s peak body, is an agnostic and bi-partisan organisation that welcomes robust debate for the benefit of our industry, our members and the community at large,” REISA’s independent Chair, Fairlie Delbridge said.
Sponsors included Kite Property, Commercial & Legal, Compare & Connect, Core Logic, Fotobase, REI Super, Amadio Wines, Aspire 42, BDO, Docusign, G.H. Mumm Champagne, Hentley Farm, Ken Hall, Malfy Gin, Paramount Liquor, Pernod Ricard Winemakers and PEXA. The event was hosted by Adelaide-based comedian Georgie Carroll.
“This year’s awards criteria have been significantly changed to reflect the public’s requirement to demonstrate higher levels of professionalism in the industry”, said REISA CEO Barry Money.
“Real estate professionals are the conduit to the Australian dream of home ownership, but they are also facilitators of billions of dollars in financial transactions every year. The importance of the winners upholding the REISA code of conduct and contributing to the ongoing improvement of the industry’s reputation was a deciding factor for our independent panel of judges”, said Money.
“The property market is expected to flourish in the coming months. Professionals who can service clients with utmost respect and diligence will continue to be in high demand. The winners embody these factors,” said Money.
“It was great to see the real estate industry coming together as one community to celebrate a new perspective on excellence – public demand for integrity and transparency is at its highest in years. The REISA Awards for Excellence represent those traits,” said Andrew Muir, State Manager of Core Logic.
“I commend all of the winners but similarly I commend all of those who are embracing the changes which REISA is bringing to the industry in terms of our focus on innovation, customer excellence and ethical and legislative compliance,” REISA CEO Barry Money said.
The Real Estate Institute of South Australia covers the breadth of the property industry including residential real estate, commercial and industrial real estate, specialists such as buyer’s agents, business brokers and auctioneers plus support services such as business development, marketing, and operations. The awards comprise 29 categories and winners were announced in all categories.
