After five years, REIA CEO Jock Kreitals has resigned his post, leaving the organisation in good stead.
After five years of taking up the reigns as CEO and twelve years in total at the Real Estate Institute of Australia, Jock Kreitals has moved on.
President, Adrian Kelly said he has been very appreciative of Jock’s contribution over the past decade and thankful for the excellent shape that he is leaving the REIA.
“Jock has been a steady hand as CEO of the REIA,” said Mr Kelly.
“He has excellent financial management skills, built very solid relationships with all levels of government, particularly with federal politicians and bureaucrats in Canberra.
"He has certainly left our organisation in outstanding shape."
Mr Kelly said Mr Kreitals spearheaded a very successful campaign during last year’s federal election which highlighted the importance of the property sector to the Australian economy and its population.
Now the hunt for a new CEO is underway with a very large number of applications having been received for the role already.
“We are not in a rush and will be methodical in appointing our chosen successor as the role is a vital one for our industry across the country,” said Mr Kelly.
“Meanwhile, I want to wish Jock all the best for his future endeavours and thank him again for his dedication to the industry over a long period of time.”
