A new property advisory business is an example of how they support clients buying, rather than selling houses.
Not all careers in real estate are about selling property.
There are many roles that play a part in supporting those who are buying property.
An example of that is the role of the property advisor.
A new property advisory business, that has launched in iconic Gertrude Street, Fitzroy, is looking to assist clients, locally, interstate and overseas, to make informed purchasing decisions.
Gertrude & Gore has been founded by long term industry participant Craig Shearn, together with partner Hamish Adam.
They will provide vendor advocacy, negotiation and auction bidding services where required.
As the buyer and vendor advisory space continues to grow Craig said the opportunity to open in Fitzroy was too good an opportunity.
“Hamish and I have worked in the real estate space and lived in the inner city for many years now, a market that has grown and arguably become one of the most sought after lifestyle destinations for owner occupiers and investors alike," said Mr Shearn.
"Our age demographics are such that we will be able to offer the right advice to a wide range of time poor clients locally and overseas as Melbourne continues to shine as one of the most vibrant cities in the world.
Mr Adam said buying property is not a clinical process.
“We were born from the belief that purchasing property is personal, which is why we take a people-first approach to advocacy," said Mr Adam.
"To find the right property for clients, we first take the time to understand who they are and listen to what’s important to them.
"Only then can we help them acquire the right property – at the right price and on the right terms.”
