Brisbane agent Roxanne Liu will today join McGrath Paddington, as the agency continues to bolster its Brisbane sales team.
Kon Stathopoulos, Head of Sales for McGrath’s company-owned offices said the recruitment comes off the back of the agency's plans to attract high-performing agents.
“We are delighted that Roxanne will join our existing team of 20 agents in our Paddington office as we continue to focus on what we consider one of the most exciting property markets in the country.
“This is in line with our plan to restock our agent pool with an exceptional quality of talent, and in this instance to service both vendors and buyers in a market that has a great opportunity.”
The news comes off the back of Daniel Goodwin and eight other top-performing agents joining the McGrath Paddington office in December last year.
Ms Liu began her real estate career in 2006, quickly rising through the ranks at LJ Hooker Sunnybank Hills.
Ms Liu told WILLIAMS MEDIA that after 10 years working six days a week, she decided to take a gap year, reassess her career path and focus on her daughter by moving to Paddington to be closer to her school.
"For the past five years, we have immersed ourselves in the lifestyle that Paddington offers and love its inner-city sophistication. At the same time, it offers its residents a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
"As such, I believe as a property destination, Paddington and its surrounding suburbs will continue to attract out of area buyers to the area. I’m also seeing an emerging trend of local Chinese families relocating to inner city areas.”
In her new role, Ms Liu will focus on servicing the core suburbs of Paddington, Red Hill, and Kelvin Grove.
In the five years leading up to her hiatus period, Ms Liu sold between $30 to $45 million in residential sales per year.
Sales Leader for McGrath Brisbane, Charles Higgins previously worked with Ms Liu having conducted some of her auctions at LJ Hooker Sunnybank Hills
“She is highly professional and approachable, and I’ve observed her always putting her clients first.
"Roxanne has a clear focus on repore building, and has terrific communication skills between buyers and vendors.”
Brisbane market strong
Ms Liu says the inner city suburbs ill benefit from the concentration of high quality public and private schools.
"These catchment areas are very much in demand by my strong out of area database who are also attracted by the ease of transport, and retail facilities.
“Convenience is a crucial factor for many of my clients and Brisbane is increasingly becoming an attractive metropolitan city, offering all the amentities, lifestyle and infrastructure that will attract out of area buyers, upgraders, and those crossing the border seeking homes that offer value for money.
“Inner city prestige property is very attractive to my Chinese clients and I see this as a great opportunity for vendors wishing to sell their home. Naturally, I will market to those on the south side of Brisbane who wish to relocate," Ms Liu added.
