Queensland Sotheby's International Realty has appointed former Hamilton Island Realty Principal Wayne Singleton to head up its new operation in the Whitsundays.
Queensland Sotheby's International Realty continues expanding their presence across the state, with the announcement of their new location in the Whitsundays.
Plans for the Whitsundays expansion came about after a number of recent significant sales in the region, including Mandalay House, Aqua, and Botanica.
Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty CEO Paul Arthur says the Whitsunday region had always featured in the company’s growth plans.
“Our own Carol Carter has done an amazing job servicing the high end from our Gold Coast office, but in addition, we always wanted a physical presence and that takes the right person,” Mr Arthur said.

“We believe we have that with Wayne who brings his immense experience to the region, and specifically Hamilton Island.”
Queensland Sotheby's International Realty Director Deanne Arthur says Mr Singleton is a fantastic asset to the team.
“Company culture is so important to us at Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty. When Paul and I initially met with Wayne to discuss joining us, we immediately knew he was a great fit. He is a wonderful asset to our growing team," Mrs Arthur told WILLIAMS MEDIA.

Wayne Singleton has a formidable track record, representing buyers and sellers of property in Hamilton Island since 2002. In that time, Mr Singleton transacted over 650 sales worth more than $800 million of luxury properties.
Having lived on Hamilton Island for 17 years, Mr Singleton has also personally bought and sold at least a dozen properties in that time.
“I’m really excited to bring Sotheby’s International Realty to the Whitsundays. The global network will provide unprecedented international exposure for the region’s lifestyle and real estate – putting us on the world stage. Couple this with our local expertise and knowledge and we are now able to provide a service to our clients like no other.”

Mr Singleton told WILLIAMS MEDIA the expansion to the Whitsundays makes complete sense due to the quality of properties the area has to offer.
“It just makes sense for me to bring Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty to the Whitsundays. When you think of Sotheby’s, you immediately think quality. The brand really resonates with so many of the amazing properties here in the Whitsundays but you’re not limited by a price point with us. So whether my clients have a lovely apartment or mansion with its own helipad, the quality of the experience is the same, and now I can cast their property across the globe using the widest net possible," Mr Singleton said.

After achieving numerous significant property sales in the last year, including records in Airlie and Hamilton Island, Mr Arthur says the timing of the expansion couldn't be better.
“Our ability to attract buyers to the region is unsurpassed, pulling from our private clients across our offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, New Zealand, and our 970 offices across the globe,” Mr Arthur said.
“We bring a different value proposition and capability to the region. Our expansion into the Whitsunday region complements our office in Port Douglas which has enjoyed great success since opening.”
