Not just any old party house, this is a 68-room mansion in Sardinia.
Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is reportedly selling his 68-room holiday retreat on Sardinia's Costa Smeralda for £350million. It is widely believed that the Saudi royal family want to purchase the 168-acre estate from the notorious Italian party lover.
Called Villa Certosa, the lavish property includes six swimming pools, an amphitheatre and even an underground cave leading to the ocean. Berlusconi hosted many high profile guests there including former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife Cherie, George W Bush and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to the Corriere della Sera newspaper, Berlusconi recently gave a five hour tour of the property to Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, the Saudi prime minister and first in line to the throne. The newspaper suggests that Prince Nayef might buy the estate on behalf of his uncle, King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Said, who cut short his holiday to the French Riviera earlier this month after complaining he did not have exclusive use of the beach.
Berlusconi first put the property on the market three years ago for £325million.
