Jared travelled to the US, Canada and Asia investigating what was happening in those markets and what the answer was for the Australian market.
Long term employee and now in charge of the Residential Sales Division, Brendan Gibb spent over 100 hours conducting interviews with local Australian players who had embarked on non-traditional models.
Real Specialists was born from that – identifying what was successful overseas and what they believed all of the Australian “non-traditional models” had missed.
Jared said, “We were running a centralised admin support system five years ago, so this was not new to us. When we had our eight Ray White offices, we did not have admin staff or receptionists there - we ran our admin staff out of one central location for many years.
“Our admin staff have also been broken up into divisions for five years too, ensuring one person specialises in one small part of the admin process,” he said.
According to Jared, Real Specialists is now a powerful, well-established business that was already the market leader in their local market that is now embarking nationally.
Jared commented, “What we offer is unique. We believe anyone who is charging a percentage commission split to agents has got it wrong.
“Why should an agent who is good enough to command a larger average commission pay more than an agent with a lower average commission when they get the exact same sales support service.
“We believe agents should have the ability to grow their own brand and build wealth in a rent roll and mortgage broking book without the risk of overheads associated with having to take on a traditional franchise office and payroll staff.
“The major aspect all of the new “non-traditional” models have missed is that because their agents pay them less, they think it is okay to give the agents an inferior level of service.
“We believe it is paramount to provide full PA style sales support service to our agents so all they need to focus on is the dollar productive tasks associated with listing and selling,” he said.
