Changes to training and licensing requirements in the real estate industry will be the focus of the Real Estate Institute of New South Wales’ 2018 Roadshow series.
New industry standards, which NSW Fair Trading and REINSW have developed over the last three years, are being implemented from 1 July 2018.
The changes will support and improve the profession, and it is important that all real estate professionals understand what the changes mean for them, said McKibbin.
“I urge agents to join NSW Fair Trading and REINSW at one of our Roadshow information sessions being run at 20 locations across NSW from March to June. We will be able to provide the facts about what lies ahead, and what the obligations and options are," said McKibbin.
“Come along and get the facts from the people that developed the reforms, and have your questions answered. This is one of the most important changes our industry has ever seen, and it is vital that agents understand it,” he said.
Representatives of the REINSW, including newly elected president Leanne Pilkington, and representatives of NSW Fair Trading and the Real Estate Employers’ Federation will present at the annual roadshow.
