Australia’s population is booming, with the latest ABS data showing 1.6 per cent annual growth and a population rapidly approaching 25 million.
Some regions have grown as much as 50 per cent over the last five years, according to ABS data.
Australian aerial imagery company Nearmap has paired its high-definition images with Australian Bureau of Statistics data to reveal the physical impact of population growth in the nation's 10 fastest growing regions.

The survey comes to mark Nearmap's 10-year anniversary.
“From the ground it can be difficult to see the pace at which Australia is growing,” said Nearmap CEO, Rob Newman.
"But when you look at it from the air, you can observe in incredible detail the change occurring across our country, even just in the last five years," he said.
