Microburbs has devised a 'hip score' - an algorithm to measure how cool your suburb is.
Are you a hipster who is thinking of moving? Or would you simply like to know if your suburb is 'cool', or not?
Microburbs has developed a scientific measure of how 'cool' a suburb is. The algorithm can be applied to every suburb in Australia, and looks at the number of creative people working in the area, ethnic diversity, access to public transport, and the number of top-rated cafes and restaurants in the area.
Art galleries, yoga centres, and 'body modification studios' can also add to a suburb's 'hip score', which is given as a score out of ten.
So, which are the hippest suburbs?
