Neil Perry is following the Powerhouse Museum and Tropfest, and heading west to Sydney's geographic centre, Parramatta.
Respected chef and restaurateur Neil Perry AM has announced he will open his next Burger Project restaurant in the new Parramatta tower, V by Crown Group.
Burger Project Parramatta is set to open in early 2017, and will contain all the elements that have made Burger Project restaurants such a success to date, including a smart casual feel with a large open kitchen and relaxed seating for 100 diners. The menu will include all the standards of a burger joint: hamburgers, fries, ice cream desserts, shakes, house sodas, and a small list of wines and beers.
Crown Group National Development Director Pierre Abrahamse said securing Burger Project was ‘a great coup’ for Parramatta.
“We’re pleased to welcome Neil Perry’s Burger Project to our new V by Crown Group building in Parramatta,” Abrahamse said.
Perry is equally excited. “Parramatta has such a diverse and emerging food and cultural scene and we cannot wait to add Burger Project to the mix,” he said.
The 29-storey V by Crown Group will include 590 apartments and hotel suites, a swimming pool, gymnasium, library, and retail and dining plaza. The building was recently awarded an international architecture award, and features a unique archaeological display on ground level.
Burger Project Parramatta will join Burger Project outlets already open in Sydney’s World Square, MLC Centre, Macquarie Centre and Melbourne’s St Collins Lane. Three more are scheduled to open in Sydney and Melbourne before the end of the year.
