The Catch Up with the Property Girls networking event is bringing together women in real estate.
As the Managing Director of Laing + Simmons, Leanne Pilkington knows there are many women thriving in the real estate industry. Pilkington has started a women's networking group called Catch Up with the Property Girls, designed to unite women working in the real estate industry to help them find mentors and further develop their careers.
The most recent event was held on International Women’s Day on Tuesday March 8 at Food Society Darlinghurst. It saw the launch of TEDette talks starring Tanja Jones, Olivia Antonic and Ali Holmes, where sucessful women shared their stories and sage advice.
Olivia Antonic worked in real estate for 20 years and is now a highly qualified life coach specialising in giving up smoking and helping clients achieve their full potential. Antonic listed the many different types of fear we all experience from time to time, gaining nods of recognition from the audience. She explained that being aware of our fears is the first step to overcoming them, and helping us make the most of our lives.
Tanja Jones also inspired the audience with her call to make compassion part of every transaction. By getting the audience to participate in simple exercises, Jones demonstrated how honest communication is liberating and inspiring, and builds genuine connections.
The high quality of the speakers, the great networking opportunities, and the cool venue at Catch up with the Property Girls left the women in attendance feeling empowered and inspired - what more could you ask for on International Women's Day?
